In April ceremonies at the N.C. State University Club, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences gave out its 2005 Resource Development Awards.

The awards, which recognize faculty, retired faculty and student organizations for outstanding efforts in raising funds in support of College programs, were presented at the annual joint luncheon of the N.C. Agricultural, Dairy and Tobacco Foundations.

Dr. John Brake, William Neal Reynolds Professor of poultry science, and Dr. JoAnn Burkholder, professor of botany and director of the Center for Applied Aquatic Ecology, were honored with Faculty Resource Development Awards, while Dr. Judy Mock, professor emeritus in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, won the Retired Faculty award. The Collegiate FFA at N.C. State, represented by Brenna Houchins, club vice president, and Joshua Bledsoe, club adviser, was the student organization award winner.
