‘In the Garden’ airs Episode 100!

On Nov. 17, “In the Garden,” Bryce Lane’s on-air introductory horticulture class, broadcast its 100th episode on UNC-TV.

The series is produced by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences’ Department of Communication Services and sponsored jointly by the College’s Academic Programs and the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service.

College horticultural science instructor Lane invites his viewers to delve into the science behind plants and plant growth, as he discusses an array of gardening subjects.

“In the Garden” debuted in August 2003 and marked the first time in 40 years that UNC-TV has broadcast a college-credit course for the university system. Viewers can receive college credits for “In the Garden” by registering through N.C. State’s Distance Education and Learning Technology Applications (DELTA) office.
