Congratulations to several department members who won awards or distinctions at the recent 2016 Entomological Society of America meeting in Orlando.

Fred Gould delivered the Plenary address at the opening of the meeting.

Coby Schal received the Nan-Yao Su Award for Innovation and Creativity in Entomology 

Lauren Diepenbrock received the Early Career Professional Extension Award 

Zachary DeVries received the Lillian and Alex Feir Graduate Student Travel Award in Insect Physiology, Biochemistry, or Molecular Biology  -
