Mission of the CBI-RNA Biology Group
- Expand the knowledge base in CBI/RNA biology from fundamental research to agriculture and biomedical applications, from ribonomics to structural biology.
- Train graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and undergraduates with a comprehensive approach to the interdisciplinary aspects of CBI/RNA Biology.
- Facilitate substantive interdisciplinary collaborations in RNA Biology within the NC State community in genomics, bioinformatics, chemistry, computer science/engineering and physics as well as within the more traditional biological sciences.
- Forge institutional collaborations among the North Carolina research universities and interactions with North Carolina agricultural and biomedical corporations.
