Meet Our Instructors
William (Bill) Blackmon has taught AutoCAD courses for Technology Training Solutions for over 10 years. As a licensed architect in the state of North Carolina, he has been using Autodesk products in his field for more than 20 years. He has served as technical editor on multiple AutoCAD books, and has written dozens of custom AutoCAD applications. Bill patiently approaches teaching from the standpoint of an end-user with a strong emphasis on efficiency and real world application.
Martin Brossman is a leading authority on social media and online marketing. He is a business coach, author, consultant, and trainer known for his insight and grass roots marketing expertise. A member of the National Speakers Association (NSA) and the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD), Martin is a popular speaker on social media topics. He also teaches at North Carolina community college Small Business Centers and Chambers of Commerce venues throughout the state.
Laura Cone has taught for Technology Training Solutions for over 13 years, and has been a trainer and consultant to private and public sector clients for 17 years. She teaches all Microsoft Office products, as well as Microsoft Project and "a few others." Laura is a Microsoft Certified Application Specialist Instructor and a beta tester for MOS exams.
Charlie Dickens is a Raleigh, NC native, a professional photographer and the owner of Charles Dickens Photography here in Raleigh. He has a background in engineering, over 20 years of photography experience in the areas of weddings, portraits, and commercial photography, and several years of experience teaching various levels of photography. Charlie is an active member of the Professional Photographers of America and the Professional Photographers of North Carolina.
Lorrie Guess is a producer, designer, video editor, and educator. She received a Master of Art & Design degree in animation and new media from North Carolina State University, a Bachelor of Art degree in journalism and mass communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and studied multimedia documentary at the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University. Greg Hyer is an expert in the areas of content marketing and social CRM, marketing automation, email marketing, and social media advertising. A self-described digital marketing and social selling coach, Greg has been helping others "up" their marketing and sales strategies for years. Rick Kissiah has 20+ years of information technology experience, and currently works for Lenovo as an Advisory Engineer in their Enterprise Business Group. He holds an MS in Technical Communication from NC State University and is completing his MS in Network Technology/Information Security from ECU. Rick has earned several industry certifications including A+, Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
Dana Mathew has taught at Technology Training Solutions for over 5 years. She is an expert facilitator of the Microsoft products, the Adobe products, and many of the Webmaster Certificate courses. With 11 years of experience in the software training industry, as well as many years of specialized consulting for corporate clients, she is a seasoned IT professional.
Jeanne Munoz is a technology consultant and social media manager for small business and education. A technology trainer for more than 15 years, Jeanne is currently employed as the technology director at a charter school where she offers professional development opportunities for educators. As a proficient user of Google applications, Jeanne enjoys encouraging others to take full advantage of the Google products to enhance their business operations.
Emily Parks is a productivity consultant, office organizer and business technology specialist. With a background that includes automotive marketing as well as college sports administration, Emily possesses a unique knowledge of technology for PC, Mac, iPhone, Android and more. Emily is your go-to resource for using technology to improve work processes, boost efficiencies, achieve greater output and lower stress levels.
Dax Prather has worked in various aspects of information technology for 30 years. He has a degree in Electrical Engineering from MIT and has earned industry certifications including A+, Network+, Security+ and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE). Dax has worked as a software developer at major corporations including AT&T, IBM and Mobil Oil. He has also managed technology support at several universities including SUNY Albany, UC Davis and NC State.
Andres Quintana, M.Ed., ABO, migrated from Havana, Cuba, and settled in the United States at age 11. Andres achieved a Master of Business Education from Southern New Hampshire University and completed the NC Teach Certificate at North Carolina State University. Andres has been teaching for the past four years in area of continuing education for language arts in Spanish, as well as various courses in technology and marketing.
Gregory Scarola has been an instructor for NC State since 2008, empowering students with the knowledge they need to succeed in web design and development. Greg has his B.S. in Computer Science and Interactive Digital Design. Aside from an extensive training background and teaching evening courses for Technology Training Solutions, Greg works as an HTML/CSS developer for a software company, where he enjoys expanding his vast knowledge of the web industry by keeping up-to-date on cutting-edge technologies.
Eric Schmieder is a full-time Computer Technology faculty member at Johnston Community College, and is an adjunct instructor for several other colleges in North Carolina. In addition to his teaching expertise, Eric has over a decade of experience as a small business owner and entrepreneur, and still works closely with Small Business Centers throughout North Carolina. Eric is a current PhD candidate, and is a published author of software titles with Pearson Education.
Holly A. (Basso) Sullenger has been performing technical and professional training for over 25 years. During that time, she has also managed five different training centers, run her own consulting business, and provided business software solutions to corporations across the country. Holly specializes in the Microsoft products when facilitating classes and seminars for Technology Training Solutions. Additionally, Holly is a PhD student in Adult Education at NC State University.
Karen Tiede is a social media marketing consultant/trainer and textile artist who has successfully applied social media to market her work, now teaching Marketing with Pinterest around the state. Karen brings over 15 years of corporate process design and improvement experience to her work with professional, academic, and small business organizing.
