MidLink's Haunted House for a Halloween treat you'll never forget!  It's our 6th year of haunting, and this house is the best ever.

Fright-Write Award-winning Halloween stories from students at Paul Laurence Dunbar Middle School, Ft. Myers, Fl. They entered a contest by sponsored by the Fort Myers NewsPress. Graphics and backgrounds were created by the students.

FEMA for Kids: Hurricane information, help, games and more for anyone who wants to know more about natural disasters and how to survive them. You can write about your experiences or read about the experiences of others who have survived hurricanes. Global Book Club This Collaborative Reading Experience created by Pru Cooper and Alicia Jackson is a place to highlight and share outstanding Young Adult novels.  The webmasters are experienced middle school teachers who offer numerous novel-by-novel activities. Book Talks from media specialist, Carolyn Keene, Rundlett Middle School, Concord, NH.  The purpose of a booktalk is to "sell" the book. Just give enough of the plot to interest the listeners but do not give a summary of the book. Don't  give away the important parts of the book, but instead grab the audience's interest and make them want to read the book. Look at these examples and then make your own book talk.
