2015 Natural Resources Leadership Institute Application (WORD)
The Natural Resources Leadership Institute Leadership Development is structured around six workshop sessions held in various locations throughout the state. Each session typically begins with lunch on the first day and ends mid-afternoon of the third day. Finally, the institute includes two 1-day review sessions, a leadership practicum, and a graduation ceremony. This year will include the 20th Anniversay Celebration of the founding of the Institute during the October sesion. The Natural Resources Leadership Development 2015 schedule is:

Program Costs
Institute tuition is $1,700. Tuition covers workshop instruction, educational materials, assessment instruments, and other session essentials. Tuition must be paid in full at the start of the January session. In addition, participants are responsible for travel costs to and from sessions and session registration fees, which cover workshop meals and/or lodging. Participants are encouraged to carpool with each other to offset travel costs.Duke-Progress Energy Scholarships are available to assist those who would otherwise be unable to attend. In addition to the avaialblity of partial scholarships, several meals and other activities are sponsored through generous donations.
In order to accommodate the financial needs of our participants, we separate meal and lodging costs to provide flexibility in payment options. Participants may choose to pay the entire program cost upfront (tuition plus all session fees), or to pay tuition in January and the session fees before each session. Here are the session options:
Commuter or "meals only" rate: covers meals except where indicated; lodging is the responsibility of the participant. The rates typically range from $30-55 and are determined by the facility.
Double occupancy rate: The cost is $450 if prepaid otherwise cost is as indicated.Covers lodging and meals for the March, April, and May sessions. Breakfast is included at the hotel blocked for the February, June, and October sessios; session also covers lunches.
Single occupancy rate:The cost is $550 if prepaid otherwise cost is as indicated. Covers lodging and meals for the March, April, and May sessions. Breakfast is included at the hotel blocked for the February, June, and October sessios; session also covers lunches.
