20 Honored for Outstanding Extension Efforts

Twenty faculty and professional staff members have been chosen to receive Outstanding Extension Service Awards this academic year.

The awards recognize faculty and staff for superior performance in outreach and extension work. The recipients will be recognized at the "Celebrating the Engaged University" awards banquet to be held the evening of Monday, April 21, at the McKimmon Center.

This year's recipients are:

  • David A. Dickey, College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences
  • Harriett C. Edwards, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
  • Mike O. Frinkso, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences/Cooperative Extension Service
  • Ron W. Heiniger, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences/Cooperative Extension Service
  • Wendy W. Laing, College of Engineering
  • Marilyn S. Lynch, Division of Student Affairs
  • Richard A. Mansmann, College of Veterinary Medicine
  • Pamela P. Martin, College of Humanities and Social Sciences
  • Fay Cobb Payton, College of Management

Eight members of the group – Annetta, Clarke, Dickey, Edwards, Heiniger, Martin, Poling and Wolfram – have been elected into the Academy of Outstanding Faculty Engaged in Extension (AOFEE).

Three of those eight – Annetta, Edwards and Wolfram – have also been nominated for the Alumni Outstanding Extension Service Award. They will be recognized at the Honors Convocation and will receive a monetary award of $3,000.
