Seeking VolunteersMembers of the Department of Psychology at North Carolina State University have conducted a great deal of important research concerning human behavior. We are currently conducting research that is aimed at understanding some of the factors that influence decision making, social behavior, and the use of new technology across the adult lifespan. As part of this research, we are seeking interested volunteers from the community to participate in ongoing and new research projects in the department.
InvolvementInvolvement in most projects would require you to come to our office on Wade Avenue, located near the N.C. State main campus, on one or two separate occasions to take a series of tests that measure general reasoning, decision-making, memory, and/or verbal abilities. You will also be asked to fill out several questionnaires that measure things such as social attitudes and experience with technology. The tests are not stressful, and most people find the experience to be interesting and enjoyable.
Data CollectionAll data collected as part of any project will also be held in the strictest confidence and only be used for research purposes. All projects have been reviewed and approved by the University Committee on using Human Subjects in Research as adequately safeguarding the rights of participants.
