Submitting an Item for the ARF Newsletter
Each spring and fall, ARF publishes a Newsletter to bring everyone up to date on the activities of the organization, to share information considered by your board to be of value, and to share news from our members.
If you have news to share, our editor would like to know about it. Short stories of things you have done recently, interesting accounts of how you managerd to reach your current situation, reflections on your past and present involvements with academe and your community, interesting trips taken , awards received, businesses launched, personal milestones (weddings, major birthday/anniversary celebrations, births of children grand children, great grand children)... just about anything you think you'd like to hear about from others are likely to be appreciated by others who read about you!
We will grow our way through how to manage this service and determine as we go any need to establish the procedures and rules for content and collection methods. To start, as to content, it would be appropriate to consider the following: avoid advertising, political or religious commentary, and anything not appropriate for genteel society; limit articles to about 250 characters or about five lines of normal next.
The preferred collection method is an online form into which information will be entered. The online form is located at this <link>.
Alternatively, items may be emailed to email@example.com or sent via US Mail to the Association’s NCSU Campus address: Box 7923, Raleigh, NC 27695-7923.
Items should be received no later than October 15 for the fall newsletter and Mar 15 for the spring newsletter.
